Joe Wisniewski has been serving in cross-cultural ministry for over two decades. He and his wife, Nicole, felt called to missions in 1996 while engaged to be married. Their journey began at Moody Bible Institute and later led them to Chihuahua, Mexico, where they studied Spanish and embraced life in a new culture. In 2008, they joined UIM International in Greeley, Colorado, serving the Latin community and learning how to build meaningful, gospel-centered relationships.
Since 2011, Joe and Nicole have lived in Western New York, raising their seven children and partnering with Ridgewood Bible Church to minister to the Spanish-speaking worker community in Niagara County. Their years of experience have deepened their understanding of the challenges immigrants face and have fueled their passion to serve.
In 2020, Joe and Nicole were introduced to Immigrant Hope—a ministry that offers legal immigration services through local churches. The mission and vision of Immigrant Hope resonated deeply with their own heart for ministry, and it planted a seed of possibility. Then, in 2024, God brought Immigrant Hope back to their attention in a powerful way, confirming a new direction. With renewed clarity and purpose, Joe began taking steps toward launching Immigrant Hope Buffalo to serve immigrants from all backgrounds across Western New York.
Joe and Nicole are working to establish Immigrant Hope Buffalo as a 501(c)(3) organization and is actively building a team of like-minded individuals who share a heart for serving immigrants. Together, they are laying the foundation to bring help, hope, and home to their neighbors—right here in WNY.
